About Picture Taking
I prefer to call myself a picture taker rather than a photographer. This distinguishes the skill and artistry of my work from that of anyone with a camera. After all, not very nice people can be a photographer. For example, the mother of Jack the Ripper took him to Disneyland when he was a child and she bought him a camera. With great pride she yelled to everyone, "Look, my little Ripper is a photographer!" No wonder I am a picture taker, an artist (pronounced ar-TEEST).
Picture taking is all about the light. Many photography hacks use bad light. As an arTEEST, I only use good light to take my pictures. Bad light is unfortunately hard to avoid in America. Corporate brewers such as Budweiser, Miller, and Coors produce voluminous amounts of light swill. The only good bad light is Amstel. I work best with good light, the kind of light that inspired Einstein to play electric violin on Desolation Row. I also work best while holding either a chilled bottle of Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA or a multitude of fine red wines.
Contact Information and Other Services
If you would like to hire me to take a picture, you may do so. My rates for picture taking range from $15,767.37 an hour to free - it all depends on whether you have the cash. I enjoy going out to hear music so I take pictures of artists for the price of admission.
Equipment
For picture taking, I generally use a camera.
